The Photographer

Stanley Capps is a North Carolina native. He attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1989, then his Masters of Science Degree in Photography in 1992. He majored in Color Technology, with an emphasis in Industrial and Scientific Photography.

He has been photographing architecture in the Charlotte area since his graduation and return to the Carolinas in 1992.

My Passion/My Approach

It was in the process of working towards a mechanical engineering degree and subsequent exposure to Corporate America that induced me to make a career change to photography, a love since I was in high school. To pursue this dream I left Charlotte, NC and enrolled at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA in 1986. Once I took my first architectural photograph with a large format camera, I was hooked, and that has been my career and my passion since that day. I decided to return back home to Charlotte when I had received the BA degree in Photography, and since then I have been providing quality architectural photography services to clients throughout the southeastern United States.
